Melissa Sweazy photography, originally uploaded by medusahead.

What a beautiful day.

Yesterday was positively nerve wracking so I spent the majority of it at the Holiday marketplace at Harlow's daycare. I had my first ever table for my photography and was just so happy with my cute little flipbooks I had made for the event. That pretty little head you see on the cover may or may not be my new logo for Melissa Sweazy Photography. I'm still feeling things out.

But today. I'm a touch hungover from the wine, the nerves and the ultimate tears of joy shed as Caleb and I held hands on the couch and watched history being made. I am so proud of us, our country, of everyone who voted.

It's a very good day.

Hey this is matt easley. I know this is really out of left field but I bought a house about a block from where you grew up and It just made me think of you. How in the hell are you, I know you are elated about the obama thing and I am gonna let you guess what side I fell on.

Well hello...Mike Houncho. Thanks for clarifying as I had no idea who the hell that was! So you live in Germantown? Where?

I moved back from California about 2 years ago with my husband and we have a gorgeous 19 month old girl. We live in midtown, and I'm doing my best to get paid as a writer and photographer.

Are you working for the family business? Married? Kids? How is your family? Are you on facebook so I can see pics? Thanks for saying hi!

And yes, I'm pretty psyched about our new president :)

Congrats to you on everything and good luck on the writing and photography. I, like you have a beautiful little girl. She is 5 years old the reason we moved to germantown so she could go to farmington. We live off allenby on allenby cv. and really love it. Everything is good with the family. Now you could write a redneck drama about them but it's still pretty cool. I think this will make you feel old...Katie goes to miss. st. and it is still hard for me to accept. I am working in the family business and really enjoy it. I do alot of work in midtown so if you do any remodeling I know some wonderful people in all trades and can get you the hook up. Is your family still in town and what is up with your little sis?

Baby Katie is in college? That's just not possible.

Farmington! I was there K-8. I take it it's still pretty decent if you moved to the district.

Actually my husband is a builder and we are about to attempt building our first house! Do y'all still have the office on Summer? Are you a contractor?

Lindsey is married and just had her second daughter! Mom and Dad are still in Gtown when not jetsetting and practically mad with glee that all their grandchildren are here. All in all everybody's good. How are your sisters?

Yeah we have the business in the beautiful area of summer and pope. I do not build new homes, I rebuild damaged homes. We do fire and water restoration. I just finished a house at courtland and rembert that burnt down. Back to my sisters, I took my little sis. to out regular dive and the entire time we were out I just could not accept the fact she was there with me. My oldest sister Michelle. works at soulfish and just got divorced after 11 yrs. so that has been kinda hard. Christy is a teacher with 2 kids and lives in arlington, exactly what I expected she would become. Hard to believe your sis. has 2 children, but I guess she has to be late 20's. I would really like to know what L.A. was like and if you did anything I would know. On the house thing have fun, We have built a few for family and friends. It is a hell of an adventure. By the way, the neighborhood is great. Most of the houses have been remodeled and there are a bunch of young couples with little kids. I drive a big blue truck and it is weird sometimes when I turn on allenby.
feel like I should be in a bronco and listening to some type of mullet rock.(thought you would get a laugh out of that)
